One day I was in the grocery store. One item I was purchasing was Oreo Cookies for my son. The elderly man in back of me commented on how good they looked. He hadn't had one in years. I paid for my items and handed the Cookies to the cashier and asked him to place them in the man's bag. I hope that they tasted as good as he remembered.
There is way too much negative in the world. We are quick to see the negative and evil. Take a minute and do a kind deed for another. Even if the kindness is nothing more than a smile.

As a therapist, I work with people to help them find the good in themselves. As a mother, I watch daily the joy my children bring to myself and others. They always make other people smile, which in turn, makes me smile and marvel at the simplicity of how easily children make others pause to smile.

I am currently working on a farm run by a non-profit called Heifer International teaching children and adults about how they can end world hunger and poverty!
We all have the possibility of changing the world in small acts! I hope that my time at Heifer Farm contributes to ending world hunger and poverty, no matter how small of an act it may seem.

I always try to look at both sides of the story putting myself in the other's shoes as best I can. I think this is the only way we can truly achieve harmony. Not always successful, but it is my goal.
As a librarian I always say, you can't judge a book by its cover. Let's not judge people by their labels either.

We had a porcupine with severe mange living in our back woods. So we packed him up and took him to Tufts Animal hospital so he could get the care and treatment he needed. He is now healthy and released back in the wild.
Spread love, not hate.
Just the other day while shopping in the craft store, I looked down and saw a $5 dollar bill. I then said out loud, "Did anyone lose money?" People looked at me and shook their heads No. I then told the cashier and she picked it up and saved it in case anyone was looking for it.
